Our Story
Treasure Box Tours is a Denver-based tour and travel company that creates interesting, fun experiences by looking beyond popular tourist spots and, instead, designing outings around local expertise and recommendations. Our team of tour guides had been doing this for more than two decades through partnerships with other tour and travel agencies when Covid-19 hit. Then, we saw that something was missing: self-guided tour options that were just as enjoyable as traditional group outings. Treasure Box Tours is here to now offer you expertly designed private excursions and group journeys that promise to give you a unique look at every destination. Owner
Michael V.
Born and raised in Colorado Springs, CO, Michael has always had an affinity for travel and attention to detail. From an early age, he would travel with his family across the nation to learn about cultures, history and cuisine. He received his B.S. in Natural Resource Recreation and Tourism, with a concentration in Global Tourism from Colorado State University in 2014. His passion for tourism has taken him to twenty-five countries and nearly all of the fifty states. His favorite city is New Orleans and favorite country is South Africa. He firmly believes there is no better way to learn than through travel. He is passionate in curating the best itineraries with the smallest details taken into consideration. You’re sure to have a grand adventure when traveling with Michael.

Introducing our NEW Tour Coordinator, meet Rhonda Loyd! Fresh to Treasure Box Tours, she brings excitement and a new perspective to our traveling family. Growing up in Colorado, she enjoyed many outdoor activities and taking summers to visit family in Minnesota or South Carolina. For twenty-five years, she supported her kids’ sports events across many states. In 2023, she experienced her first group motorcoach tour through the U.K. for ten days, and she was hooked! More recently, she has enjoyed a Caribbean cruise and road trip through Vancouver and Victoria, BC. Her mind is on the future of travel, so we’re happy to have her along, helping with every small detail to make each trip a lasting memory.
