Northern California hosts two national parks that are very unalike but both magnificent and memorable. One leads the eye upward, ever upward, toward the tops of redwoods that dwarf the mind and delight the imagination. From turning our eyes upward in Redwood National Park, we turn them downward, into the abyssal places of the earth at Lassen Volcanic National Park. Here, the fires beneath us make themselves known in beauty and smells. Sure, not all the smells are so good, but what fun in smelling them. Join us for things heavenly and hellish in the National Parks of Northern California!
