From such humble beginnings, giants are born. Quiet forests in Minnesota hold a simple stream, where you may walk across with but a few steps down and your pants rolled up above your knees. Small beginnings grab more water and grow to host giants. Let's follow the upper half of the Mississippi River, from Lake Itasca through the Twin Cities and all the way to St. Louis. From St. Paul, we’ll hop on a river boat with American Cruise Lines to sail down to St. Louis. We'll do the second half of the river on a future tour. Dr. Andrew Gulliford will be our river-running host, and he and his wife will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary! From getting your toes wet to standing by a river you could barely swim across, the Mississippi is calling you!
*Optional flights from Denver to Fargo, and returning from St. Louis. Starts in Fargo, ND, ends in St. Louis, MO. Includes guide interpretation, coach transportation, twelve nights’ lodging, all entries and admissions and twenty nine meals, including a Welcome Dinner.
